Mac is a Decorated Veteran

Mac spent almost 28 years in the United States Marine Corps.  He served worldwide, in combat, and on diplomatic duty. He retired as a Colonel and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for his leadership in leading the staff for all West Coast Marines post 9/11. After military retirement, he serves as the Executive Director of the MCRD Museum Foundation providing programming for Gold Star families, PTSD, Youth, and Education, for Veterans and their families.

Dane White chose not to serve his country. 

Mac continues to support and honor veterans

Mac is committed to the many veterans of this city. He knows first-hand what they gave up for our country. He believes that service should be honored.

  • Initiated the first city wide Veteran Day Celebration and parade
  • Participates and supports American Legion, VFW, DAV events throughout the year
  • Working on establishing a Veteran Museum
  • Provides and directs support programming for:
    • Gold Star Families
    • Veterans suffering from PTSD
    • Values training for Youth
    • Education opportunities for Active Duty, Veterans and their families

Mac Will Continue to Support Our Veterans

As Mayor, Mac will:

  • Continue to honor those who have served our country and their families
  • Work to bring more programming to the city
  • Work to establish a Veteran Museum

A Better Escondido

With Mac as Mayor, Escondido will be recognized as a city who honors the men and women and their families, who served and sacrificed for this country.
